An elegy for strings (16.14.12.10.8), with a duration of 8 minutes 09. The piece was recorded by the strings of the OpenSound Orchestra under Stanislav Malyshev at the MosFilm studios on 22 February 2022. The recording was also filmed and has now been released as a music video on YouTube. A CD of the recording is to be released in April 2022.

Sanguis Venenatus (2009)
An elegy for string orchestra, written in memory of haemophiliacs and others who lost their lives as a result of the Tainted Blood Scandal. The title translates as Tainted Blood. Duration 5 minutes 30. Sanguis Venenatus was recorded on Saturday 9th July 2011 in Olomouc, Czech Republic with the strings of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Petr Vronský. Five Songs of Pindar (2003)
A large-scale work in five movements for soprano, choir and orchestra based upon the 5 Olympic Disciplines of Ancient Greece: Sprint, Jump, Discus, Spear and Wrestling Match. The work utilises the poetry of Pindar, dedicated to the ancient Olympic winners. The text is set in the original Greek. Duration 25 minutes. Instrumentation: sop. solo, 2(dbl. picc.), 2(dbl. An SATB anthem for remembrance. The text is an adaptation by Sue Threakall of verses from Psalm 90: 2-5, 9, 17; Psalm 34: 15;
Psalm 65: 5; Psalm 126: 4; Jeremiah 31: 9; Ecclesiastes 12: 7. Duration: 4'40" to 5 mins. The anthem was premièred during an annual Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance held at Charterhouse in the City of London on 31st October 2015 and has been sung each year since during the same remembrance service when it was relocated to St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate.
